Champion Data reveals top 10 AFL players after Round 12
Champion Data’s Daniel Hoyne has revealed the data’s top 10 AFL players at the half-way mark of the 2025 season.
Every four weeks on SEN Sportsday, Hoyne provides an updated ranking of the competition’s best players in accordance with the data system.
See Champion Data’s top 10 players below:

10 – Touk Miller
“Has been pretty consistent top 10 player right throughout the season.”
9 – Paul Curtis
“A rise from 230th last season.”
8 - Andrew Brayshaw
“Bit of recognition for him. He’s always been high up in the coaches’ votes. We’ve all lauded what he’s been able to do without the footy and his defensive actions.
“This year for the first time we’re really seeing him impact with ball in hand. Hence why he’s gone from 108 last year to currently sitting number eight in the competition.”
7 – Bailey Dale
“Eighth last year, a regular top 10 in our rating system.”
6 – Riley Thilthorpe
Healy: “He is as skilled as any big bloke I’ve ever seen. Left and right foot, left and right hand.”
5 – Tristan Xerri
“A long way clear as the number one ruck in the competition.”
4 – Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera
“26th last year, fourth this year.”
3 – Lachie Ash
“Been a mainstay of the top 10. We put him on the radar around Round 4, now he’s getting the due recognition that he deserves.
“Third best player in the comp.”
2 – Jack Sinclair
“Like Bailey Dale, is a regular top 10 in our rating system.
“Second best player in the comp.”
1 – Ed Richards
“Number one player by panels. Clearly the best player in the competition.
“If you want to know why he’s the best player in the competition, go back and watch his last game against Geelong down at GMHBA.
“He got tagged against (Oisin) Mullin, didn’t bother, still rated through the roof.”
