Brisbane CEO to take on role as Football Performance boss
Brisbane CEO Greg Swann has been announced as the new AFL Football Performance boss.
As reported by SEN journalist Tom Morris, Swann alerted the club today that he will depart to take the role introduced by the AFL just last week.
Changes to CEO Andrew Dillon’s executive team were announced late last week, with Dillon confirming on Thursday that he had divided the league’s football department into multiple sectors to introduce a new Football Performance role.
Upon accepting the role, Swann will oversee matters surrounding MRO, umpiring, game analysis, player movement, laws of the game, innovation and club engagement within football.
As a result, Laura Kane’s role has been changed from Executive General Manager to Football Operations boss and she will now be responsible for concussion management, mental health response, and the delivery of the AFL, AFLW, VFL, VFLW and the Coates League seasons.
