Kiwi ski great Adam Hall has finally completed his Paralympic medal collection.
Hall nabbed his sixth medal from his sixth Games, winning his first slalom silver to gift New Zealand their first medal on the final day at the Milan-Cortina Paralympics.
Russian skier Aleksei Bugaev won gold by 2.83 seconds in Sunday's (local time) standing event, with Switzerland's Robin Cuche trailing a further 3.18 seconds to win bronze.
The 38-year-old Hall, who was born with spina bifida, shed tears as the realisation of another medal dawned on him.
"So much goes into this, right? I thrive in the pressure, I thrive in this environment," Hall said.
"To finally just see all of that happen is just a release of emotion and just losing my sh*t."
Hall described his silver medal in his favourite discipline as the missing piece.

The Dunedin-born skier had won two gold slalom medals (2010, 2018), a bronze medal in super combined (2018, 2022), and a bronze medal in slalom (2022).
Hall was one of just two Kiwi athletes at the Games, competing with "brother" and fellow alpine skier Corey Peters.
"What was missing was what I came for," Hall said.
"Just in a dream, really, I don't know what just happened.
"Genuinely, if you're at your sixth Games, you probably have no right to be on a podium, but we work really hard."
Hall's other great mates and retired Australian alpine skiers Mitch Gourley and Toby Kane were also at the Games.
Kane, who won super-G bronze medals (2006, 2014), is deputy chef de mission of team Australia.
"It's just like any old day," Hall said.
"To reconnect with some fierce world-class competitors that you spent so much of your career competing against is pretty special off the snow to have that along with working with."
Asked if he would return for the 2030 French Alps Games, Hall left the door open.
"That's every cliche athlete's question that they get, especially when you've been to six Games, right?" Hall said.
"But we'll take time to enjoy this moment, reflect on it, just enjoy it, and we've got time. We'll figure out what that is. Who knows?"
