Erin Clark reveals connection behind Warriors’ reinvention

The Warriors’ reinvention under Andrew Webster has been built on more than defensive and attacking principles.
According to Warriors lock Erin Clark, a squad-wide buy-in on trust and togetherness has connected the dots, turning it into one of the club’s biggest weapons.
"We're pretty tight in the group," Clark told Sport Nation's Scotty & Izzy.
"I think every club says that, but we’re all one. I think you can go to some clubs and there's different groups that hang out with each other but if we do something, we all go together and it's special, never experienced anything like it before.”
And that connection extends to the interchange, where Clark is certain the Warriors’ impact players stack up as one of the elite in the competition.
“If our bench went to another club, they'd be starters or probably the best players at other clubs,” he claimed.
“It's good for us because we can start well and not have to worry about trying to save anything because we know that and we've got full confidence in the boys on the bench that will come on, and if not change the game, will make it better.”

The team's self-belief was no better exemplified than during May's nail-biter against the Penrith Panthers, where the Warriors were on par with the six-time premiership winners, despite losing stars Tanah Boyd and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in the two weeks prior.
“We put ourselves in that game and we showed that we're good enough to be where we are and they're the benchmark, and to go toe-to-toe with the benchmark for the competition has really stood out for me this year.”
