High-jumper Hamish Kerr strengthened his case as the planet's premier pole-vaulter with his golden effort at the world championships in Tokyo on Wednesday (NZ time).
Kerr got the better of his good mate Sanghyeok Woo of South Korea in a tense battle to add the world champs title alongside the Olympic gold he won in Paris last year.
The achievement came just 24 hours after Geordie Beamish's stunning effort in the men's steeplechase, where he claimed New Zealand's first ever world champs gold on the track.
The Dunedin product joined Sport Nation's Guy Heveldt and Steve Devine to reflect on an historic few days in Japan.
