Eagles vs Cowboys betting preview: Who will turn their bad fortune around?

The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys meet in a crucial NFC East clash, with both teams sitting at 2-4 and looking to halt their slide.
Week 7's Monday Night Football matchup takes place at Lincoln Financial Field on Tuesday for viewers in New Zealand with kick-off scheduled for 1.15pm.
Philadelphia faces a significant challenge without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts - he has been placed on injured reserve, and reports say he is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
Tanner McKee is set to start as the Eagles look to snap a four-game losing streak, while Saquon Barkley is listed as questionable as he works his way back from a hamstring injury.
Dallas also arrives under pressure after consecutive defeats.
The Cowboys’ normally high-powered offence has managed just 29 points across its past two games, and Dak Prescott will be looking to get the unit back on track with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens among the key players to watch.
The early market has Dallas favoured by around 4.5 points, with the total sitting near 44.5. Those lines make the Cowboys favourites on the road, but with both teams struggling, this divisional matchup could be difficult to call.

George Pickens is capable of producing a big play at any moment, but the Eagles present a difficult matchup for outside receivers. Dallas will still look to get him involved, and Prescott is likely to give him opportunities downfield, but Philadelphia may focus on limiting his impact.
Pickens can remain a significant part of the Cowboys’ offence without necessarily reaching 64 receiving yards. The under is the lean.
The Eagles have been more vulnerable to production from the slot, where CeeDee Lamb often lines up. He is an elite receiver who can be a high-volume target, particularly when Dallas need to spark their offence.
At 2.20, the over offers an appealing price for Lamb to make at least eight catches. If Prescott looks to get the ball out quickly, Lamb could be central to that approach.
Barkley is listed as questionable as he looks to return from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last two games. His availability and workload are the key factors to watch before backing this prop.
If he is cleared to play and receives a substantial share of the carries, Barkley could become a major part of Philadelphia’s offensive plan with every other top option unavailable. Dallas’ defence has struggled this season, making the over an attractive option, but it is one to reassess once Barkley’s status and expected workload are clearer.
Dallas Goedert could be McKee’s most reliable option through the air. He has recorded six receptions in each of his last two games, and McKee targeted him eight times in the loss to Carolina.
With Philadelphia adjusting to life without Hurts, a steady short-range target could be important. Goedert’s recent involvement makes the over worth considering.
This line is reachable if Makai Lemon gets a steady share of the passing-game workload, with the rookie receiver earning six targets last week, and with DeVonta Smith not playing, that frees up a whopping 14 targets that Lemon could inherit a piece of.
He doesn’t need a huge performance to clear it, one or two productive catches could put him in range, especially if he can add yards after the catch. The over is a bet on Lemon turning his opportunities into meaningful gains.
Same Game Multi:
For punters looking for a bigger-price play, take a look at the following multi, which can be played with a Super SGM Cover on betcha.
  1. Philadelphia Eagles (+14.5) alternate line
  2. Saquon Barkley 50+ rushing yards
  3. Saquon Barkley 2+ receptions
  4. Makai Lemon 30+ receiving yards
  5. Dallas Goedert 4+ receptions
  6. CeeDee Lamb 7+ receptions
  7. Javonte Williams 2+ receptions
  8. Jake Ferguson 20+ receiving yards
  9. CeeDee Lamb / George Pickens 1+ touchdown combined
COMBINED ODDS: 20.12
Touchdown picks:
  • Javonte Williams anytime touchdown at 1.62
Williams is the shortest-priced touchdown option listed here. Dallas will look to give its running game opportunities near the goal line as it tries to get the offence moving again.
  • Dallas Goedert anytime touchdown at 3.05
Goedert’s role as a dependable target makes him an interesting option in the red zone, particularly if Philadelphia lean on quick, simple throws with McKee under centre.
  • Tanner McKee anytime touchdown at 10.50
A quarterback touchdown is a higher-risk pick, but McKee could be a threat if Philadelphia use him on a designed run or he finds space near the goal line.
