Race 4 | 3. Blindedbythelight
Chased home Idle Flyer last start and that’s form that’s been franked in a big way! She runs well second up, gets up to the mile and from that gate she will have the softest speed map. She is a girl who has been freshened but she enjoys getting to 2000m so even if the pace is on, it won't worry her! She even is a little better on a firm track and she gets onto it today. Will be very hard to beat!
Race 6 | 4. Rosberg
I am giving him another chance mainly because he had a million excuses at Flemington before the break and a few less but still ran ok resuming. Has since had a trial and looked great (normally does) so I'm dipping the toe in again! The speed for a 1200m race doesn’t seem major so I'd like to see Jamie Melham (another tick) be proactive early. This is a nice race with a number of chances but this bloke has a bunch of talent and if he can prove it today, he will win!
Race 7 | 4. Panova (each-way)
This is a really deep Oaks with a number of chances but I am with the Sydney girl. Was pretty good two back in the Phar Lap and looked set for the 2000m but got a wet track and she hated it. Stays at the 2000m and gets on a firm deck which are big ticks. She is ready to peak fourth up and when she did it in the spring she belted tham in a good horses race! The gate isn't ideal but she will drift back and as long as JMac gets cover (he will) she will rattle home. Would be shorter in the market if drew a gate, back her each way.
Race 8 | 6. Bridal Waltz
Not a massive amount of speed and I think this girl who had NO luck can control the race. She had no luck in the Galaxy and was in the finish. She loves being on top of the ground and no doubt the 1200m is perfect. She has knocked on the door (without succes) as a Group 1 horse but she gets every opportunity today. Will find a length at the top of the straight, as G1's go this should be very open but this girl has been kept fresh and will take catching.
FLEMINGTON
Race 4 | 2. Mukhtalif
He was brilliant in his Aussie debut and he will again be prominent in the run. Drawn a lot better today and there is some speed engaged as well (Lario/Mr Blunt) which will help! Good track a big win and there is no doubt he has come on since that Caulfield belting. The question might be if he us looking for 2000m now and if he gets crossed it’s a concern but if he can hold the lead, I think he can stretch them out at Flemington and that wont be an issue. Claim is smart with a jockey in form I think he will stay undefeated in Australia.
Race 6 | 1. Deal Done Fast
Comes out of the better races and didn’t love Sydney way of going and in particular the wet tracks. Laboured for a bit before hitting the line fairly well in the Derby. Ran well in the VRC Derby and that form stacks up for this. Up to the 2800m won't be any issue. He will slide back from the gate and allow the speed to unfold. That Deby run was fourth up, as is today and he is a Flemington type of horse! Very confident!
Race 7 | 1. Land Legend (each-way/top 5)
Zakouma is the class animal who oozes class but is a tad too short in the market so I am with the Legend each way! Thought he wasn't too bad last start when he got a bit far back but up to the 2000m is nice. He actually wasn't horrible resuming either albeit on paper looks poor. He is onto a good track for the first time this prep and that’s a massive tick. There is some speed engaged which will help him as well. Gate 1 isn't great and he has to carry weight but he is a class animal who ran well third up in the spring! $27 is over the odds and deserves a little tickle. He is actually $3 to run top 5 at Sportsbet and that’s a good bet!
Race 8 | 19. Epimeles (each-way)
Was better than it looked resuming but the clear thing was he needs 1400m. Gets it today also gets a perfect gate and a jockey in form. I expect him to be closer today as he was a tad slow into stride last start. Cripps should lead from inside gate so he will have a reference point if lands closer. He is nicely weighted (based off previous from) and has won here before (on this day two years ago) over the 1400m. Certainly over the odds.
RANDWICK
Race 2 | 3. Enamorada
Has had a nice trial since having to go back from a shocking gate and Caulfield and not catching an in form horse. Drawn much better today and stays at the 1400m after that first attempt last start. Was brilliant two back winning at Sandown and although this is tougher she did that easy. Ready to peak fourth up and good track works well, she will be very hard to beat!
Race 3 | 6. Cantiamo
In this class she normally wins. She was good behind Plaintiff last start and maybe wasn’t in best part of track in straight. Drawn to stalk the speed. Third up works as does back-to-back at 1200m... Jason Collett is in fine form and has today's set up to run huge. Don't stress about the good track record as they were in much better races than this, Will be very hard to beat!
Race 7 | 1. Cristel Clear
He was brilliant winning first up and then the saddle slipped in the Doncaster. Scratching has stripped away the speed a little so expect him r to go forward and sit OSL Hellsing or stalk him 1-1. She is brilliant at the trip, on top of the ground and is undefeated third up. VERY KEEN!!!

Race 5 | 4. Niance
$5 is dynamite first up with spring in her legs & she has been trialling well, Begg stable with Jordy Childs is lethal and Niance will be too sharp here.
FLEMINGTON
Race 5 | 4. King Zephyr
$3.60. The King will be winning today, he was ridden too close last start off a hot tempo and he is a horse that needs to find his feet and ridden cold to ensure he gives you a good finish, big track will be to his liking as he will have plenty of time to balance up and steam home over top of them, hot tempo will be in his favour, his best is good enough for this.
RANDWICK
Race 2 | 3. Enamorada
$3.20. This horse is very handy and has found a nice race to get another win on the board, jock knows it from the strong Maher stable this one will be winning.
EAGLE FARM
Race 5 | 8. Olivoni
$3.60. Oli is a good bit of stuff and is my best around the country today, this is a matter of put in and take out here, she was very impressive at the Gold Coast last start and will be better again here, she is a very sharp filly that will smoke these.
ALICE SPRINGS
Race 5 | 1. Our Squamosa
$3.50. Will be improved from the first up run and this looks to be easier than last start, can win. All the best punters!
