'I think that’s on the cards': Bostock open to position change
Dolphins’ winger Jack Bostock has reconfirmed his want to play in the centres in the future.
The Dolphins delivered a resounding 56-6 victory against St George Illawarra at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
The Dolphins dominated every aspect of the game and made the Dragons look second-rate as they piled on ten tries for the match.
Bostock had a strong performance himself as he managed a try assist, a try and ran for 174 metres. Performances like these only further build his case as to why he is one of the up-and-coming stars in the NRL.
Speaking about the game, Bostock was impressed by the efforts of the forward pack throughout the match.
“The forwards were real good,” Bostock said on SEN’s Saturday League Kick-Off.
“They were physical in defence, and they run the ball well and everything sort of played off of that.
“I feel like I’ve got to give a wrap to Frankie (Francis Molo) and Felise (Kaufusi) to how they started the game. They were really good.
"They set a really good foundation for the boys who come off the bench.
“So, I think obviously the backs were scoring all the tries but the middles were doing a pretty good job in there.”
The Dolphins’ star would also be asked about potentially moving out from the wings which Bostock confirmed his ambition to play in the centres in the future.
“Yeah, for sure, down the track,” Bostock said.
“Obviously at the moment, we’ve got great centres and I’m happy being on the wing in a side like ours.
“But yeah, maybe one day down the track, I think that’s on the cards, so we’ll see what unfolds.”
Bostock has shown he is able to play at the centre position in his junior career. However, he has limited experience in this position at the NRL level.
The Dolphins have to travel to Townsville next week for their clash against the Cowboys. The match will take place next Saturday with a 7:35pm kick-off.
