Carlton free agent Jack Silvagni has nominated St Kilda as his next club, reports Channel 7's Mitch Cleary.
Silvagni told the Blues last week that he'd be exercising his unrestricted free agency rights, with all of Collingwood, St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs reportedly interested.
While the Magpies and Dogs were seen as early frontrunners, recent reports suggested that the Saints had put forth the best offer both in length of deal and financially, with SEN's Tom Morris believing the deal to be worth up to $850,000 a year for five years.
Silvagni's father Stephen is St Kilda's list manager. He previously was the list manager at Carlton but was let go in 2019 due to a conflict of interest arising from both of his sons, Jack and Ben, being on the club's list at the time.
The 27-year-old, who played 128 games for Carlton, is now the second Blue to pick the Saints in free agency this off-season, with superstar ruckman Tom De Koning also nominating the club.
The pair's arrival could kickstart a huge off-season at Moorabbin with St Kilda also linked to GWS' Leek Aleer, Gold Coast's Sam Flanders and West Coast's Liam Ryan.
