The 2024 Golden Slipper winner, Lady Of Camelot, has been retired.
While undergoing shallow-water beach training at Nudgee Beach in Brisbane earlier in the week, the four-year-old was attacked by a stingray near her foreleg.
This injury ruled her out of the Doomben 10,000 and her potential Royal Ascot tilt, but now the news has worsened.
The Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained mare has now been officially retired, as reported by Racing.com.
The daughter of Written Tycoon ends her career with two victories from 14 starts and over $5.9 million in prize money accumulated.
