The NZ Warriors are rebuilding ahead of their round 19 clash against the Wests Tigers, taking their bye week to train hard following on from Saturday's 26-24 defeat to the Dolphins.
The team have suffered three losses from four games, creating a cause for concern amongst the coaching staff regardless of their No. 2 spot on the NRL ladder.
Assistant coach Stacey Jones told Sport Nation's Millsy and Guy their match against the Dolphins wasn’t good enough.
“We didn't play that well, there were periods there where the Dolphins were all over us.
“In the end, we had a moment where a couple of players clocked off and they're too good a team for you to do that to,” he explained.

As the old cliche goes, Jones wants the Warriors to focus on each match as they come, instead of getting distracted by future games.
“We won't look too far ahead. Everyone knows how tough this competition is and if you're not on your game you can get hurt,” he warned.
To aid efforts the team announced Wednesday the signing of Luke Laulilii from the Wests Tigers, with the young winger inked to a Warriors contract for the remainder of the season before he heads to the Perth Bears in 2027.
Jones says the Warriors needed seasoned players to fill injury gaps and balance the backs.
“We actually identified our lack of depth in the outside backs. That's an area where we lack some first grade experience,” he said.
Sport Nation will have live commentary of the NZ Warriors vs Wests Tigers on July 10 with kick-off scheduled for 10pm NZ time.
