Tigers firmly in the race for Reynolds' signature

The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio believes the Wests Tigers are in with a huge chance to snatch veteran halfback Adam Reybolds away from the Brisbane Broncos.
Reynolds, who recently notched up 300 first grade games, is contracted to the Broncos until the end of the 2025 but has not signed an extension or agreed to terms with rival clubs.
Since the departure of Lachlan Galvin, the Tigers have been vocal in their interest for the 34-year-old and Riccio suggested there is a real possibility that Reynolds joins the Tigers.
“This initially popped up about four to five weeks ago,” Riccio told SEN 1170 Breakfast.
“Is this a real chance? I’d say it’s headed down the path of around 60-40 (of Reynolds staying in Brisbane).
“The Tigers are a real shot. They are in the fight and they certainly have more financial capacity than the Broncos can offer and there’s also the addition of a second year (in the contract).
“The Broncos are willing to offer Adam a job in the coaching staff beyond his playing career.
“The other factor is that he has a tight relationship with Shane Richardson, the Wests Tigers CEO.
“Shane’s son works in sponsorship and assists Adam Reynolds’ third-party deals. There are links there.
“It makes sense from a Wests Tigers point of view as far as where they are at and what he can bring to a footy club.
“I’m not ruling the Tigers out yet.”
The Tigers have been busy with their roster as of late with the club announcing on Tuesday that controversial winger Taylan May has been signed to a train and trial contract.
Additionally, the Tigers have a decision to make on their hookers with captain Api Koroisau and Tallyn Da Silva both available to sign with rival clubs on November 1.
“Do the Tigers stick with the veteran or rookie?” Riccio added.
“Internally, there has been heavy debate at the club with what they do here.
“My understanding is that coach Benji Marshall was all for keeping Api and for obvious reasons.
“Richardson is more looking towards the future with Da Silva but things have come to a point where they are leaning towards re-signing Koroisau.
“If that eventuates, you can assume that Tallyn Da Silva will be the next one to leave the club.
“There’s also been a bit of news about Api and meeting with Mal Meninga about the Perth Bears.”
The Tigers have the bye in Round 15 and sit 14th on the ladder with a 5-8 record.
