GOSFORD
Race 4 | 5. Step Quick
Don’t often tip a 10 race maiden. Last two over 900m and four of last five been on heavy decks. 1000m for him now. Soft deck, low draw. If he can’t win this he won’t win one.Race 8 | 2. Straand Beauty
Coming off a little freshen up. Trial good, first up stats solid as and this start looks significantly lower in grade. Claim helps also and hoop is solid to make the right call.

GOSFORD
Race 4 | 3. Doralee
Been a little frustrating this prep but can find excuses. Two back she was stuck wide no cover and last start closer to the fence wasn’t place to be at Kembla Grange. Has trialled well since next to In Flight and the 1000m lovely. Need Joshua Parr to show intent and with a little luck can go forward and control the race maybe OSL Step Quick.
Race 8 | 2. Straand Beauty
Has had a little freshen up and blinkers go on! Won a trial since last run in a tougher race and expect with the claim she will squeeze forward and sit OSL. She is having a really good prep without winning but back to a slightly easier race I have her on top. Exceed Perfection is back and expect her to lead and was in good races last prep but will need further so watch for him deeper into prep!
DUBBO
Race 3 | 2. Denman Deputy
Wasn’t too and on debut in a stronger maiden. Looked a little lost at times as happens as I expect improvement. Not a huge amount of speed on paper and I do expect this horse to go forward and try and use the fitness back to 1000m to its advantage: 2kg claim a bonus and expect DD to run really well.
Race 6 | 4. Girrawheen
Was good first up and although back to the 1100m today can be expected from that gate to have absolute run of the race! Can lead and dictate or stalk if Boy Scout (danger) flies the gates. Loves Dubbo and only win has been over this track and distance and I expect that to happen again today.
GRAFTON
Race 3 | 2. Purosangue
Flies first up and has trialled well and is ready to go again. Drawn perfectly to control the race and fly the gates but I expect to sit outside Goodes and propel off the corner. Not getting a major spoil but expect him to be a little good here!
Race 7 | 8. Kamariya
Had a swing in town last start and was a step too far although having to burn petrol early from wide gate didn’t help! Back to a much better race fit and 1400m is perfect. And the gate means she will lead and hold fence. Couple speed horses drawn widely so if they go hammer down Fenlon can take a sit but if they cop their medicine and go back I would love it even more! Loves Gatton and expect to love it even more after today.
