Parker slams Immortal over unexpected act

Corey Parker has slammed Queensland legend Wally Lewis for tipping NSW in Thursday night’s match against the Maroons.
On the Queensland Former Origin Greats (FOGs) Instagram account, Lewis was shown to have tipped NSW to win Thursday night’s clash, being the only FOG to do so.
Lewis would prove to be correct with NSW winning 26-6 against Queensland at Allianz Stadium to win the series.
But Parker couldn’t believe that the legendary Queensland captain and the 6th immortal had tipped against the Maroons and that more people hadn’t made a bigger deal of this.
Especially considering the uproar around Brisbane Broncos player Martin Taupau liking a post that criticised Michael Maguire’s coaching this week.
“This has really irked me. What’s more of an outrage?” Parker posed to the audience on SENQ’s Breakfast.
“Marty Taupau pressing a like on a post that was given in direction to the coach Madge Maguire or the King Wally Lewis tipping NSW to win in a State of Origin.
“That is a disaster, that’s disgraceful. Like seriously, the King has tipped not just a little button of a like, but he’s made a decision, I’m going to tip NSW. I’ve seen it all.
“So, Marty Taupau were going to make a big song and dance over a like, but c’mon, the King has gone against Queensland in his tipping.
“They were also going to be up against it, NSW are a great side, et cetera, but you do not and cannot tip against Queensland, yet the King has done that.
“Seriously, let’s have a think about this.
“The King of Queensland, like the man. When you think of the messiah, he’s got a statue out the front of Suncorp Stadium for crying out loud.”
Co-host Ian Healy was in some agreement with Parker about Lewis’s decision.
“It’s just silly, the only FOG to do it,” Healy admitted.
“And he’s just opened us up to Blues criticism, Vossy and Brandy (SEN 1170's Breakfast duo) are going to say even your King has given up on you.”
