Why Cronulla will be 'rubbing their hands' with excitement for semi-final

Corey Parker thinks that the Cronulla Sharks will be rubbing their hands together at the prospect of playing the Raiders in the semi-finals.
Having been in front by 16 points with 15 minutes left, the Raiders somehow lost the match with the Broncos getting up through extra time, which now sees them having to go the long way around to make the Grand Final.
With the loss, it means that the Raiders will have a six-day turnaround for their semi-final clash against the Sharks, who will have an extra day in comparison, having played on the Saturday.
This led the Brisbane Broncos legend to believe that Cronulla coach Craig Fitzgibbon could benefit from their scheduling advantage.
“That’s going to be the big challenge,” Parker noted on SENQ Breakfast.
“Ricky wanted the long turnaround into the Sunday game, which is fine, and you should be able to choose if you are minor premiers.
“And after 94 minutes, Craig Fitzgibbon would be sitting back rubbing his hands together, going, ‘boy, oh boy'.
“And it’s do or die now, (for) all games going forward.”
Despite the short turnaround, Canberra comes into the game as favourites having beaten the Sharks in their previous encounter at GIO Stadium.
But if they were to lose, they would become the first minor premier since St George Illawarra in 2009 to have gone out in straight sets.
That match will take place on Saturday in the nation’s capital with kick-off at 7:50pm.
SEN will have live coverage available for the match through its radio network and the SEN app from 7pm AEST.
