Campbell Brown
Pakenham: Race 3, No.1 - EMMCEEHasn't been beaten far in any run in his career. First-up on the synthetic was good last start. Will jump from barrier 8 with scratchings and land midfield with cover. The one to beat at $2.50.
Scone: Race 5, No.7 - SPANDEXWill jump and lead from an inside gate. Was able to control things last start for an easy victory and no reason why he can't do something similar today. Horse he beat has since come out and won well. Second elect Annoint has never ever run well on firm ground, so don't expect it today. Clearly best bet at $2.10.
Mount Isa: Race 4, No.4 - VIBURNUMBeat Hurtle last start at McKinlay, Hurtle came out and won next start. We will lead and take a stack of running down. $3.60 is a good price.
Sam Hyland
Pakenham: Race 4, No.9 - PROPHET'S SON has been good at both runs in & looks to be comfortable at Pakenham on the plastic as it is his home track, he will need some luck from the gate but there appears to be good speed in this race as it is a solid field.
Scone: Race 3, No.7 - ICHIKA is in as bad a race as you will see. These are walkers & both runs in have been sound so you would think if she gets a soft first half she will be strong on the way home. She can knock over the maiden here.
Mount Isa: Race 3, No.5 - BENEVENTO loves his home track & is sharp at the trip. He is drawn a soft gate & Tommy Orr knows him well. Ticks a few boxes & should win.
