Foran's shock new coaching destination revealed
Kieran Foran will return to the Sea Eagles in 2026, joining the club as an assistant coach for the next two seasons.
Foran will join Anthony Seibold's coaching staff following the exits of Michael Ennis to the Dragons and Steven Hales to the Newcastle Knights.
The 35-year-old retired from the NRL at the end of the 2025 season and is currently representing New Zealand in the Pacific Championships.
Foran, a favourite son on the Northern Beaches, was expected to remain on the Gold Coast and work alongside Josh Hannay at the Titans, however, has opted to return to the club he debuted at in 2009.
The half played 196 games with the Sea Eagles across a 318-game career spanning 17 seasons.
Foran was excited to be returning to Manly to begin his coaching career.
"I’m stoked to be coming back to Manly, I really am," Foran said in a club statement.
"This club has been a huge part of my life and given me so much, and now I get to try and give a little back.
"I’m super excited to be working alongside (Seibold) and the team and I can’t wait to rip in."
Coach Anthony Seibold was excited to have Foran on board.
"It’s wonderful to bring Kieran home to Manly," Seibold said.
"He has Manly DNA and was a great servant to the club as a player and a premiership winner.
"He now starts the next chapter in his career as a coach and I’m excited for him.
"Having just retired as a player he understands the modern game at the highest level.
"We will obviously assist Kieran in his formative coaching career as he learns his craft, but he will add great value to our playing group as a coach.
"Kieran will be a significant addition to our coaching staff as we undertake a new look in 2026.”
