Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra will miss the Blackcaps' upcoming ODI series against India as they continue their recovery from injury.
Chapman needs a further two weeks of rehabilitation for a left hamstring injury, while Ravindra’s right shoulder requires more recovery before he can field at full capacity.
Tim Seifert, initially selected for the fourth and fifth ODIs, will now be available for the full series. Henry Nicholls will also join for the first three matches, with Dean Foxcroft coming in for the final two.
Nicholls earned his call-up after scoring 119 - his 13th List A century - for Canterbury against the Wellington Firebirds in the Ford Trophy last Saturday. Foxcroft will join the squad after the New Zealand A red-ball series against India A.

Matt Henry is assembling with the squad Monday and will be assessed on his readiness to play. Matt Fisher, originally selected for ODIs four and five, will stay with the team throughout the series as an additional bowling option.
“Everyone knows what an asset Mark and Rachin are to this side so it’s a shame they have to miss this series,” Blackcaps head coach Rob Walter said.
“I caught up with Mark last week and although he’s disappointed he’s working hard to get back on the field.
“With Rachin, his shoulder hasn’t quite recovered to a position where he could field comfortably in white-ball cricket, so with the Test series later this month we don’t want to take any undue risks.
“We’re pleased to bring in Henry who is no stranger to this side, and Dean who recently featured in the ODIs against the West Indies."
