Former Tottenham Hotspur and Socceroos manager Ange Postecoglou is set for a Premier League return, with reports suggesting the Australian will take the vacant role at Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
After just three Premier League games in 2025, Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo parted ways with the club, citing tension between he and the club – particularly club owner Angelos Marinikas.
Collecting four points across the opening three fixtures, Espirito Santo left Forest with immediate effect, with Ange Postecoglou set to step into the role imminently to commence preparations for Forest’s Saturday fixture with Arsenal.
In his two seasons with Tottenham, Postecoglou managed a superb fifth place finish in his Premier League debut, enough to secure entry into the Europa League – a prestigious tournament that the 60-year-old would go on to win with Spurs, their first trophy following a 17-year drought.
However, an injury plagued 2024/25 saw the North London side slip to 17th on the Premier League table, resulting in Postecoglou’s sacking at the commencement of his second season in charge.
Returning to the English top-flight, Postecoglou steps into a ready-made Nottingham side, which finished in seventh place last season under Espirito Santo and earnt themselves entry to the Europa League.
