Farnworth keen for reunion with 'fittest-ever' Cobbo

Dolphins superstar Herbie Farnworth is salivating over the prospect of a brand new left-side combination with ex-Broncos teammate Selwyn Cobbo in 2026.
Cobbo turned up for his first Dolphins pre-season in terrific shape and is slated at this stage to play outside centre Farnworth on the left wing.
With gun winger Jack Bostock not back from an ACL injury until round eight at least, Cobbo has a chance to reboot his career after missing out on selection at the Broncos in their run to last year's grand final win.
Farnworth was asked after Dolphins training on Tuesday if he had ever seen Cobbo look so good in January.
"I have not, never. He's looking in great shape," Farnworth said.
"He would be a straight swap for Jack. I'm not too sure how we're going to run out in round one, but he'll be filling in there and can fill in a bit at centre as well.
"He was always on the right side (at the Broncos), so it'd be nice to play with him. I would love to have him on my wing."
Cobbo has been enigmatic throughout his short career. At his best there is none more devastating than the 23-year-old, which is why he has represented Queensland with distinction at State of Origin level.

"He's a great athlete and he's going to add that physical punch that we need in the back five with Jack injured," Farnworth said.
"He's going to be great for us this year."
The Dolphins were in the top eight when Farnworth injured a hamstring against the Warriors in round 22.
With his demise went the Dolphins' hopes of a maiden finals appearance.
The English international has been at the club two years and he wants to make it three times lucky in September.
"Obviously we've missed the finals now twice (since I've been here), the Dolphins have missed it on the last game of the year both years, so that's our goal this year," he said.
"I think we've got the team to do it. We've got a lot of good players coming in. Selwyn's come across, Morgan Knowles - a fellow Englishman (from St Helens) - so we've got a really strong squad and those young guys have stepped up.
"We saw what someone like Kurt Donoghoe did last year, so we've got a strong team."
Late last year Farnworth inked a one-year extension until the end of 2027. He said the short-term nature of the deal was what he wanted and not due to any dissatisfaction with the Dolphins.
"I'll put the rumours to bed, I'm happy here at the club," he said.
"It just kind of worked well for both parties. Obviously I want to stay here long-term and we can get something done, but it takes the pressure off both of us."
