Auckland FC head coach Steve Corica has stepped down after two seasons in charge, ending a historic stint that delivered both the A-League Premiership and Championship to the club.
Sport Nation understands Corica will not be the only departure, with assistant coach Danny Hay and head scout Doug Kors also set to leave the club as part of the off-season shake-up.
Corica, who became Auckland FC's inaugural coach in January 2024, will depart to pursue an overseas opportunity after guiding the Black Knights to silverware in each of their first two seasons.
"It has been a fantastic two years with a city, a fan group and a team that have all been way beyond my expectations," Corica said.
The former Sydney FC boss leaves a significant legacy, having overseen the development of several young New Zealand talents while establishing Auckland FC as a force in the A-League.
Majority owner Bill Foley paid tribute to Corica's impact, saying he had helped build a competitive culture from day one and laid the foundations for long-term success.
Auckland FC will now begin the search for a new head coach, led by Director of Football Terry McFlynn.
