Lockie Ferguson is set to return to the Sydney Thunder for another Big Bash League campaign, with the Blackcaps quick having re-signed with the franchise.
Ferguson, who played six games for the club in the 2024-25 season, has committed to the Thunder for the full upcoming season season including finals, having missed last summer's tournament due to injury.
Speaking with Sport Nation Mornings on Thursday, Ferguson confirmed earlier that he was keen to remain with the Sydney side.
“I really enjoy my time with the Thunder," he told host Alex Chapman.

The veteran quick will have a busy summer ahead, with New Zealand's five-match T20 series against India preceding the Big Bash.
Ferguson has become a regular on the global franchise circuit, but says the financial opportunities come with a different dynamic to international cricket.
“There’s a stage in your career where you need to kind of look what’s happening next. Look after your family and the opportunities you get are amazing,” he said.

“It’s a bit more transactional with these franchise tournaments, which is understandable. You're kind of coming in as a gun for hire, and if you don't have a good tournament, they'll find another gun for hire.”
Ferguson, who has nine years of IPL experience, says managing his body is also increasingly important as he balances international and franchise cricket.
His immediate focus will be on New Zealand's T20 series against India before heading to Australia for another season with the Thunder.
