Bharat: It's time to buy shares in Cam Green

Australian cricket fans it’s time to buy shares in Cam Green because he is the future, according to Bharat Sundarasen.
The 26-year-old has been the subject of much debate after managing just 48 runs across his first five innings since returning from a 12-month injury break.
But a solid 52 in the second innings of the second Test as Australia’s top order comes under enormous pressure has gone a long way to repaying the selectors.
“Cam Green, the progress report is trending upwards,” Sundaresan told SEN Breakfast.
“If you want to invest in the Cam Green shares, now is the time.
“He looked jittery in Barbados like a cat on a hot tin roof, (but) he fought through a difficult patch to get a half (century). The selectors will have some relief.”
While Green is on the upward trajectory, the speculation and debate around Australia’s opening partnership continues.
Both Sam Konstas and Usman Khawaja have struggled in the West Indies, lacking in runs and the latter succumbing to similar dismissals on an uncomfortably regular basis.
With a jam-packed schedule this year – which culminates with a huge home Ashes series, Sundaresan has called for patience when it comes to Konstas
“Konstas, the jury is still out,” he said. “He is learning about Test cricket the hard way. He is growing up in front of our eyes. For his own sake he needs a big score.
“Very few (young players) come in and get it straight away, it took Sachin Tendulkar a few years to get his head around Test cricket.
“Sam is seven months into his career.
“They (selectors) will stay patient with him that is the routine message from camp, they are seeing him as a work in progress.
“There are technical issues, but (eventually) this comes down to how many runs you make, that is the currency. They will stick with him for a while. It’s been a baptism of fire for him.”
As for Usman Khawaja, Sundaresan says there is cause for concern.
“Khawaja, you would be concerned he is getting out in the same way,” he said.
“LBW around the wicket; when you reach this stage of your career this can be a concern. Think about Virat Kohli.
“I can’t see them moving away from him before the Ashes but he too will want one big score before we leave the Caribbean.”
The third Test between the West Indies and Australia begins at 4:30am (AEST) on Sunday. Listen to every ball LIVE on SEN and the SEN app.
